Miniature Ford Trimotor, ideal for living room or office decoration.
Between 1926 and 1933, only 199 Trimotors were built in the Ford factory. The corrugated metal on the large, thick wings of the monoplane was a German development, used in the Junker JU-52 aircraft that flew the Berlin-Rome-London route. Trimotors were flown by airlines, oil companies and wealthy individuals. The Ford Trimotor and the Junkers JU-52 were pioneering aircraft that spawned generations of Douglas and Boeing fleets that would soon fly the world.
