Tech-savvy enthusiasts in the 1930s loved to race the legendary BB Korns cars on club tracks. Called tether cars or Spindizzy, they reached incredible speeds and inspired thousands to improve and invent.
BB Kron Manufacturing Company founder Barney Korn produced several models of tethered cars that, as vintage antiques, fetch amazing sums at auction.
For his customers' children, Mr. Korn designed and built "The Indianapolis," a pre-war gift without electricity. The idea was to get kids excited and involved in automotive activities.
Our Indy "play" pays homage to Korn's heritage with a detailed dash, rubber tires and a hand-drawn green body.
